Who We Are

Hardin County is a chapter of Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa which includes Hamilton, Hardin and Story counties in Iowa. This is our second year we will be building a home in Hardin county!

Our Mission

Developing community through the building of simple, decent housing for all God's people.

Our 2007 build:

The location is at the corner of Stevens & Pierce Streets in Iowa Falls. Darla Brockman heads our Habitat Partner Family this year. We are building NOW through early December

Schedule:

Between now and the end of the build folks will be around sporatically to do the different tasks that need to be done. If you would like to help, drop in and see what is happening and how you can help.

We are always looking for the next Partner Family and the next lot on which to build!

We aren't done with this build yet, but we are always looking towards the next build. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming the next Partner Family or has a property they would be willing to donate to Habitat, please contact us by mail, email or phone, all listed at the bottom of this page.

Becoming a Member

We are more than just hammer swingers, and we come from all walks of life. We welcome volunteers who have food making, building, landscaping, planning, shoveling, lawn mowing, typing, speaking, phone calling, writing, praying, fund raising, picture taking, scrapbooking, raflle ticket selling, hostessing, and artworking skills..... We also welcome donations of funds and materials to our organization.
